Charity
- Who is your charity partner?
- For the Brook Mills 10K the Advanced Running Project has partnered with the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Community Support Center which helps those in the Bellbrook community during their time of need.
- How much does ARP donate to the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Community Support Center?
- The amount we donate increases as the event grows. In year one we donated $700 to the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Community Support Center. In 2020 due to the pandemic we had to cancel the event but still donated $250. We aspire to donate $1K to the Family Resource Center in 2021.
- Can I make an additional donation to the charity?
- Absolutely! While registering their is a page that asks you if you would like to donate extra, 100% of that donation goes to the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Community Support Center. Additionally at anytime you can visit BrookMills10K.com and click "donate" to make a donation.
- Is the Advanced Running Project a non-profit?
- Advanced Running is not a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization, but don’t let a tax classification fool you. Supporting charities is part of the foundation of who we are and what we believe in as a company. Since our founding in 2018 we have donated thousands to organizations in our community.
- Is my registration tax deductible?
- Unfortunately, no. While a portion of your registration fee will be donated to charity, we are not a 501(c)(3) charity and are therefore unable to provide tax receipts.
- How do we know you donated the money?
- After the event we will work with the Resource Center to make a final payment to them and will provide documentation of the acknowledgement letter we receive from the BSCSC on our Facebook page.
